High School Students
High school students enrolled in 9th through 12th grades may apply for concurrent enrollment at Southwestern College. The purpose of concurrent enrollment is to provide opportunities for Advanced Scholastic or Career and Technical Education courses not ordinarily offered at their high school. Students admitted in this category are subject to college regulations regarding admissions, prerequisites, registration, attendance, and personal conduct. All courses attempted and the units earned will be recorded on the student’s Southwestern College permanent academic record. High School Special forms are available at www.swccd.edu. Students are limited to taking no more than eleven (11) semester units per semester.
Students enrolled in a home school program are required to meet one of the following criteria noted below:
- Home school program must be affiliated with a County Department of Education program;
- Be taught by a person holding a California teaching credential; OR
- Hold a current private school affidavit filed with the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Documentation must be provided at the time of registration.
