Academic ESL Program
The Academic ESL Program is designed to prepare students for transfer into academic programs at Southwestern College. Academic ESL classes focus on academic reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary. This program incorporates academic themes and concepts from various disciplines and emphasizes academic skills. Please note: No ESL Placement Assessment is required for the First Level of the Academic ESL Program; entry into higher levels of the Academic ESL Program requires an ESL Placement process which will determine which level of the program is best for the student.
