ACUTE CARE NURSING ASSISTANT

Recommended Preparation: RDG 56 or equivalent or through the Southwestern College multiple measures placement processes.

Prerequisite: CNA 20 or equivalent.

Corequisite: CNA 21L.

Lecture 3 hours

Offered: FALL, SPRING

Prepares the long-term care nursing assistant to function in the acute care setting. Follows the California state approved Acute Care Nurse Assistant model curriculum. Includes disease processes of various body systems, surgical procedures, related treatments, and responsibilities of the acute care CNA. [ND] (Same as: NC 521)

ACUTE CARE NURSING ASSISTANT LAB
