This three-course certificate uses a culturally responsive novel and the writing process to hone students’ reading, thinking, writing, speaking and learning skills essential for college and career success. Develops skills needed to succeed in their college-level English, communication, and reading classes as well as a range of college level social science courses (e.g., psychology, sociology, history, theology, and political science).
